IV.5.8 Immunosuppressive therapy
GuidelineA. Immunosuppressive therapies, especially corticosteroids and anticalcineurin inhibitors; contribute to the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors, such as arterial hypertension, hyperlipidaemia and hyperglycaemia, and this effect is dose dependent. Reduction of the dose, withdrawal and/or switching to another drug could be useful to control these risk factors.
