Fernando Carrera, ERA-EDTA Secretary-Treasurer

Fernando Valderrábano, a leading figure in Spanish nephrology, passed away on 6 September 2001. At the time of his death, at the age of just 59, he was director of the nephrology service he had founded at the Hospital Gregorio Marañon in Madrid and full professor of medicine/nephrology at the University Complutense of Madrid.
