Editorial Note
This issue contains an editorial comment discussing a recently published meta-analysis and an editorial on the use and effects of vitamin D compounds in CKD patients. This meta-analysis and accompanying editorial were published in the Annals of Internal Medicine [2,3].In view of the quite critical content of the invited editorial by Drs. Olgaard and Lewin published in this issue, we thought it appropriate and fair to give the authors of the meta-analysis and editorial [2,3] the opportunity to reply to the editorial comment by Drs. Olgaard and Lewin.
All three contributions are informative, interesting to read and will hopefully be appreciated by our readers.
