The incorrect version of Figure 1 was published, the correct version of this figure is shown below. Legend to Figure 1, page 2052, line 4 from top: ‘The cell surface localized TACE has a longer half-life time and can now act on the membrane-associated pro-TGF-
releasing soluble TGF-. This TGF-, in turn, binds to the EGF receptor ...’ instead of ‘The cell surface localized TACE has a longer half-life time and can now act on the membrane-associated pro-TNF- releasing soluble TNF-. This TNF-, in turn, binds to the EGF receptor ...’.
On page 2051, second column, line 22 it should have read ‘This quite complicated signal transduction pathway goes from the outside (ANG II) to the inside (TACE), again to the outside (TGF-) and finally returns to the inside of the cell (EGF-receptor phosphorylation)’ instead of ‘... from the outside (ANG II) to the inside (TACE), again to the outside (TNF-) ...’.
On page 2052, second column, line 3 it should have read ‘to decrease release of ANG II-mediated TGF- and transactivation of the EGF receptor’ instead of ‘to decrease release of ANG II-mediated TNF- and transactivation of the EGF receptor’ ....
