IV.1 Organization of follow-up of transplant recipients after the first year

Guidelines

A. All renal transplant recipients should undergo regular laboratory check-ups (at least every 2 or 3 months) and regular medical visits as out-patients (at least every 4–6 months) after the first year post-transplant.

B. All renal transplant recipients should be seen at least once a year in the transplant centre where the transplantation has been performed or referred to a closer transplant centre for a complete annual evaluation.
